Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.
It's rewarding to find the tools that fit your life the best. I'm happy to share mine.
Workstation
13” MacBook Air, M2 Max, 16GB RAM (2022)
I'm stunned that this bare bones MacBook can run Resolve, Logic, Photoshop, and Steam all at the same time without the fans turning on. Insanity.
Logitech MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse
I didn't know what I was missing until I bought this ergonomic mouse on a whim. I'll never go back to a magic mouse.
Varier Thatsit Balans Chair
Borne from my deep hatred for swivel chairs, this rocking kneeling chair is ideal.
Productivity
Notion
Everything I write from essays to song lyrics is stored and organized in Notion. It has an intuative and beautiful UI. Such a joy to use.
Hey Email
This is the BEST email app out there. Its feature for screening out new senders is genius and saves you so much time. I forward all of my gmail to Hey.
Music
Logic Pro
The natural next step when GarageBand feels limiting.
Andante
This practice journal app keeps me honest about how much I'm practicing. I use it everyday for singing, playing the harp, and song writing.
Camac Isolde Celtic Harp
Stunning sound and a vision to behold.
Photo & Video
Sony A7 III Camera
Such an excellent camera. My only complaint is that you can't see the view finder when recording a video.
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Lens
Absolutely stunning images and video. The colors are so excellent that I hardly have to color correct in video post production.
Davinci Resolve
I've used Final Cut and Premiere, but Resolve is my favorite. If you are a pretty good video editor, I'd recommend giving Resolve a try (it's free).
Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop
Whether I'm editing the lighting from a fashion photoshoot or adding text to a banner, Lightroom and Photoshop are untouchable in quality and ease of use.
